Wild Atlantic Way.
Have you ever dreamed of embarking on a journey of discovery, to hidden places and secret worlds  – Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way starts here in Donegal and takes you along the wildest,  most captivating driving route in the World.  Dungloe is the capital of an area known as The Rosses situated on the North West coast of Donegal in one of the most scenic areas in Ireland.
Dungloe is an ideal base from which to explore the west coast of Donegal with Slieve Liag one hour’s drive and Glenveagh National Park only 30 minutes by car.  If you don’t feel like travelling just stay local and explore the many sandy beaches and walks on offer. You can fish in a choice of lakes for salmon, trout and sea trout our have a round of golf in Cruit 9 hole golf club.  Relax in the evening and enjoy the local cuisine in one of the one of the many pubs and restaurants.

Mary From Dungloe International Festival Popular Irish music festival held annually in August Bank Holiday..
The festival is centred around a pageant to find out which contestant has the spirt of the festival, who is then crowned “Mary From Dungloe”. The winner of the contest holds this title for a year and acts as an ambassador for the festival. Irish emigrant communities from around the world as well as some Irish counties and towns participate by nominating a young woman, endearingly titled a “Mary”, to represent their community at the contest. The festival has grown in popularity over the years and now regularly attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the area.
